Stavanger station is located along Sørlandsbanen line. Train services towards Oslo S, Kristiansand and Arendal. It is approximately 10 minutes' walk to boat and ferry connections.

In the coming weeks, we will register license plates in the parking lot “P-Jernbanen” in Stavanger city center. This helps us, as the owner of the area, understand how parking is used.
Together with information on how full it is, this will give us a good basis for adapting the parking offer.

Gaining access to Stavanger bicycle hotel
Download app “Bane NOR Parkering” in the App Store(opens in a new tab) or on Google Play(opens in a new tab). Agree to terms and register payment method. Access is connected to your mobile telephone and applies to only one bicycle hotel.
Once you have agreed to the terms, pres “LÅS OPP” in order to open the door to the bicycle hotel.
Please note: the door may take up to 30 seconds to open.
Access costs 50 NOK and lasts for 30 days. Your subscription will be renewed automatically when this time period expires. You will be notified by SMS before your subscription is renewed.

About the station
The station opened in 1878 when Jærbanen line was completed. In 1944 Sørlandsbanen was opened up to Stavanger. In 2009, the section Sandnes - Stavanger was opened with a new double track.
