Spikkestad station is 37.51 kilometers from Oslo S. The station was opened in 1885.
From 1973, Spikkestad has been the terminus of the Spikkestad line. In 1973, the Lieråsen tunnel on the Drammenbanen was opened and traffic on the Drammenbanen was rerouted to the new and shorter line.
The section Asker - Spikkestad on the old line was retained for local traffic.
