About the thawing hall
The thawing hall consists of an 80 metre stub track The hall is located after the Narvik terminal's track 14 (stabling).
In the hall, the ground surface is only crushed stone.
The hall is only intended to be used for passive thawing. The hall is heated.
It is not allowed to carry out maintenance operations or active thawing as there is no collection of oil/chemicals, no ventilation or exhaust extraction.
Stays of personnel in the hall are limited to changing in and out as well as cleaning up after animal remains.
The user must comply with the Workshop Handbook, as well as current provisions for stay and use.
Users must book shunting in and out of the hall according to local providers of shunting services. Any start-up of diesel equipment must be done outside the hall as the hall does not have exhaust extractors or solutions that ensure sufficient ventilation.
The user must remove any animal remains immediately and never later than departure from the hall.
