Final EPC contract signed

Bane NOR and Infranord Norway AS have signed the contract for new railway infrastructure between Oslo Central Station and the Ekeberg Hill. This is the fifth and final EPC contract for The Follo Line Project.

The contract has a value of 475 million NOK, and has been signed by Helga Nes, Executive Vice President for Infrastructure Construction at Bane NOR and Roar Solhaug, CEO for Infranord Norway.

Infranord Norway has delivered the best offer based on an overall assessment of price and project implementations, which are the award criteria set for this contract competition.

The contract, called EPC Railway Systems Oslo S, includes work on new railway infrastructure from Oslo S to the Ekeberg hill, and for the inner part of the Follo Line and the Østfold Line. The work involves the design and construction of final track layout and installation of technical systems. In addition, auto-transformers, high-voltage and low-voltage systems will be built, and there will be facilitated for signal and telecommunications.

The engineering work starts in May 2017. The main works will commence in January 2019 and continue until the autumn 2021.
